Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is November 28. You can have the Tofu this week and the turkey next week.

ummm...no. today is the 18th, turkey day is the 28th.

My mathometer is not working too well today. Thought I had 50 in my billfold too but it was only 15.
Might be 10 days but I ain't eating no tofuiti turkey any of those days.

Yeah being a week later than last year I've been loaded and ready to go,Turkey cooker all loaded,only have the perishables to load.

Now just sitten around twiddling my thumbs.

Oh well, out we will go on Tuesday for our 8th consecutive Family Thanksgiving week.

No such thing as Tofu for those born and raise farm country. Tried it once at work from the cafeteria... Never again!

But for what it's worth... it's not Turkey this year either. We've already got the "Ham"!

Your first mistake was getting it from the work cafeteria. When prepared properly it is sometimes very difficult to distinguish it from real meat.

Turkey is on order at the grocery store. We're hosting-10 or 11 people total. Will pick up the fixins when I do my regular shopping this Friday.

difficult...maybe. impossible? doubt it. never have, never will give it a go. sounds about as appetizing as the veggie burger being hawked at burger king. not for us. turkey all the way on Thanksgiving although we're getting a cooked breast at the deli. it's just the two of us,

We are camping with friends at a park about 30 minutes from home and we will have a full Thanksgiving dinner "on the grounds", no matter what temp it is. We have 2-10 X 20 tents that we L shape. We had 35 in attendance last year and had plenty of food.

There will be turkey, dressing, gravy, twice baked potatoes, cranberry salad, green bean casserole, pineapple casserole, some sort of sweet potato dish, deviled eggs and sausage balls and a couple of other appetizer foods. We eat the leftovers on Friday (if there are any).

Dinner is at Natural Tunnel State Park in Virginia at 2:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day and we will be in sites #13 and #14. If you are in the neighborhood, you are invited to eat with us. Give us a heads-up that you are coming so we can make sure we have plenty of vittles.
