That crunching, cracking sound that says you messed up.

How many of you have opened/closed your slides and forgot to close a cabinet door only to hear that dreaded sound that means you will be replacing a cabinet door. I have the distinct honor of tearing off 2 doors with my main slide. Fortunately the hinges broke loose and no major damage other than replacing the hinges and repairing a crack in the wood with wood glue. I wanted to look up stupid in the dictionary but I was afraid I might see my picture.

    Inside is not my 'job'
    I'm outside whenever slides are moved

    Tore off the front of a DVD player/stereo with the slide when a gear jumped track and started to come in at an odd angle.

    :S Been there, WASN'T quick enough! Ended up putting a cover over the slide switch that said CHAIR!!

    I could have written this, the only exception being, I tore only one door off. The noise and the rocking of the trailer made me think the slide had fallen off, lol.

    Damaged a rear swing up cabinet door 2 months ago on our newbie.
    Glass everywhere :(
    The factory sent us a replacement door plus hardware.

    Told myself I was going to rip the door off someday and I eventually did do it!

    Used the slide to remove a drop down table from the wall in our previous trailer. All you can do is smile say a few words to yourself and then figure out a way to fix the damage.

    I have had it happen twice but when opening the slide and didn’t look before moving it… luckily it only bent one hinge that was able to be straightened…

    That looks worse that just coming close, it looks like a direct hit.
