HONDA GENERATORS - Now Hondas are a great product and a very good generator. But I can buy THREE dual fuel Champions rated at 3800 Watts for the price of ONE 2000 Watt Honda.
QUIET GENERATORS - Perversly I believe the trend to really quiet generators is misguided. It seems to me that those with what they consider to be the "quiet" generators feel free to run them anytime they want for as long as they want. Those of us with slightly noisier units I think are more careful and tend to obey the rules on generator times better than many with the quiet ones.
I do disagree with this one, coming from the perspective of someone who does not have a generator and does not like hearing them when I'm camping.
The Honda generators sound like a buzz when it's several sites away. I find it slightly annoying at first, but can easily forget about it after a few minutes. With the "slightly louder" generators, I am hearing a construction site and cannot ignore it.
I have not seen any difference in the "following generator rules" based on the type of generator used, nor on the type of RV, nor on the type of user (family, young, old, etc.). It is very much a non-type specific abuse.
I have nothing against pink flamingos - but I think scare lights, awning lights, and more than 3 decorative outdoor items would replace the flamingo.
X2, except I don't EASILY forget about the constant buzz after a few minutes - seems to take a little bit of effort. :)
