not sure what picture your talking about since I don't own any trucks and there are never vehicles on my lawn but I'm pretty sure my wj rated for 6500lb can handle my 3800lb trailer. fully loaded gear and family included im under 5500. im curious where you are getting your information.

Yes it was my poor attempt at humor. I was referring to the 2 plastic trucks on the grass. I am glad that your family enjoyed themselves.

I believe you are correct. its been a long day. luckily the jeep up front tows it like a champ so the plastics can hitch a ride hahaha. sorry if I got a but defensive there didn't mean to. just catch a lot of **** for using a jeep instead of a monster truck for a tow vehicle haha. as for the awning, it is all the way out. Its not original and it is a bit deceiving as ive droped 1 side to shed the wind/water a bit better. The supports are adjustable to control angle. for longer stays the awening is pegged for extra support and ive been known to collapse it prior to a nasty storm. Thanks for looking out though. couldn't be happier with my purchase

I think he was making reference to the plastic toy trucks on the grass in front of the camper in one of the pics! I had to go back and look, as I did not notice any trucks in the first pass.

It's great that you are getting out there. I camped with my parents and grandparents as a kid, and purchased our first RV when we had our first kid. It provides great family time - we all love it.

I thought I'd mention this, but could be off base if your awning is different than others that I've seen and used. To me it looks like you did not roll it all the way out, which means that the supports that you slide up the rail are not in the correct position. On most, those supports should slide all the way up and snap in place up by the tube. When locked in place, they should extend from the camper, right out to the top of the rail and end of the tube. I'd just hate to see the awning fold up in heavy rain or wind because the support are were not in the correct position.

This is why God invented RV'ing! What do you mean he didn't invent it? ;)

You and your little one will have so many fond memories of these trips. My kids still reminisce about trips we took 20 years ago. It's so much fun to go back and look at those photos from yesteryear.

And don't worry - all kids have meltdowns. I have video I took of a trip to Lake George when my oldest daughter was only a year old. We were trying to get her to take a nap in the PU, so when I was describing the CG on the video, you can hear her screaming at the top of her lungs in the background because she refused to go to sleep. LOL

thanks guys, was surprised to see new life in this thread. few more weeks till a big family camp at the pinery. And ya for the record riverside 4 is one of my favorite campgrounds anywhere. We book there every trip to the pinery.

Glad you had fun. It is a great way for the family to get close and the little one is building a lifetime of memories.

Best post ever, have a 22 month old who was camping at 6 months! Would have been sooner if it was not for the snow!

That camper looks to be in some shape for the year. Although the cuteness of the little one did not allow much time to look at the camper ??
