To All, I never post anything to just "Stir the Pot" and I do realize that can be a compliment also. When I write these things my hope is to make others think about things in a slightly different light, provoke conversation that is hopefully intelligent sometimes witty and enlightening. I also hope that people will form well reasoned arguments and try to bring me over to their side. My mind is open.
I think that for some this attitude is unusual in this age of
Take-No-Prisoners argument most often found on Fox News and talk Radio. but I think we could use more of it...
I have enjoyed all the responses and some have made me laugh out loud. But there is a serious issue here and that is our willingness to buy into so many marketing ploys with little or no skepticism, critical thought or hard questions.
Questions like why is the same model Honda Generator sold in Asia (exactly the same one) for 2/3rds less than here? What am I really buying?
A jar of Hero Jam (the best in my opinion) is LESS money here in the US than in it's home country where I used to live, Switzerland. And the same jar is still less sold in Thailand? Thats Global economics for you. They know what you will pay for it regardless of it's real price or worth. And we seem to go along.
And as for those Flamingos...what DO you feed them?
