Thing to remember. In Oregon you cannot pump your own fuel outside of a reservation. If a tribe has a gas station on their own land, they can and do offer self-serv pumps. Example: at Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, OR you pump your own gas.
You can use the shoulder of the road on I-5 when going up hill in Oregon. No sales tax in Oregon. If pulling a trailer you can drive the same speed as the cars in Or and Wa. The TRUCK SPEED on I-5 in WA is 60. In the MH on I-5 in WA I set the cruise control to 62 and stay in the right lane.

I was disappointed of the air along I-5. Air to the west was clear and nice looking, air to the east was as smoggy as downtown LA. You can always bring along cans of Perri-Air. I don't always drive I-5, but when I do, I prefer to stay far west of I-5.
You cannot buy booz in Wa on Sunday and you have to go to a State store to buy the hard stuff. Incorrect. Thanks to a WA-based wholesale club spending millions of dollars to get the WA liquor laws changed one can now purchase hard liquor EVERYWHERE in WA.
I am not a drinker so it didn't bother me. The have more rest stops in WA and OR. They were clean and nice. I found food at the tourist traps is cheaper than expected so stop at Fat Smitty's at the intersection of 101 and 20 in Discovery Bay, WA for a Smitty Burger.
So enjoy your trip and don't let them know you are from California.
Port Angeles is about 30 miles west of where I am on Diamond Point in Sequim.
