We're in a mostly Winter SnowBird campground, but had a couple spend the weekend next to us. And by "next to us" I mean a few feet as this is a Pack-Them-In type campground.Last night I noticed that the couple had run a hose from their popup under their SUV. Thought nothing of it other than it was unusual.However, this morning I noticed a very large wet area under most the the SUV. It was easy to spot because all the campsites are dirt. So the wet area stuck out like a sore thumb.I contacted the camp management because I didn't want to deal with these yahoos, and it looks like the couple were fined before they left. I hope so.Even if they were just draining water, it created a great big mud puddle right next to us -- and this campground had two dump stations -- so they still would have to dump anything else they had onboard.Takes all kinds.

That is a special kind of stupid right there.

Many pop up trailers do not have holding tanks so they likely were running gray water onto the ground. Fortunately it's also true that MOST pop up trailer don't HAVE a fixed toilet so it probably WAS gray water. Why run it UNDER the TV? Probably because it's against RV Park rules to dump water at sites. When I use my pop up I have a 5 gallon jerry can into which my gray water is collected for disposal at the dump. SOME also use a blueboy (one of the few advantages I see to using them). Stupid of lazy, the result was the same, a mud hole in an RV parking lot. Good luck / Skip

They probably were new. Don't you know you wait until around 1am to do this. Not that I've ever done it.

Many PUPs have no toilet, the only drain is the kitchen sink, No shower, NO toilet (Or a cassett or porta-pottie) and in this case what they were dumping was fresh kitchen sink water.

If you take the cassett out of your cassett toilet and instet it into your tape deck and press play, what does it sound like? :H

Completely different situation. The OP claims the person he reported was fined for dumping grey water.

Who fines the people washing their Class A and their run-off which is full of soaps, road grimes, bugs, etc?

In my case, I would report the infraction to the Camp Host, who would call the Forest Service Headquarters, who would send out a Ranger to levy the fines as necessary. The Ranger might even bring a Sheriff Deputy, depending on the report from the Camp Host.
In the case of a commercial RV park, the local Code Enforcement Officer might be the one levying the fines. Or, the "fine" might simply be "Get out, and never come back!"
There are ALWAYS penalties for breaking the rules!

Good for you. I'm guessing you need to check the size of your bucket and look at how much you use in rinsing. Your "3 gals" along with the next guy's 10 gals and the next guy's X gals. It adds up. I'm just asking the question. Someone is worried about someone else's grey water. Are they going to worry about someone's Class A grey water run-off from washing?

I know the size, it's 5 gallons and I only fill it about 3/4 of the way and there is at least 1/2 of a gallon left in when finished. I don't rinse, I squeegee it off. What ends up on the ground is distributed over a larger surface area and evaporates withing minutes. And the campground allows it or its not done.

When I depart my site there isn't a stinky mud puddle with scraps of food and who knows what other fluids. So I guess we should start worrying about your pop up and your who knows how many gallons your dumping and the next guy etc. What your dumping could be considered a bio hazard. I have accidentally dump some gray water. It absolutely stunk for th weekend we were there to the point we couldn't sit outside, even after rinsing it down. Just common sense.
