But you know, it's not about the money or the cost at all. It's about what "I" want to do. I have electric trains. (Packed away right now, but still, I have them). They cost a bundle as I accumulated quite a bit of stuff (we moved and I had to tear it all down, and just haven't had the luxury to put them back up). So, it cost me a bundle. Someone else would never want to pay the price for an electric train set-up, because they are into ceramic pottery. They paid a bundle for their area of interest too. Make sense? No! Not at all! So why do we spend the money? If the objective of RVing is strictly for being cost effective, I suppose that's OK, if that's your motivation. But for me, I do it because I enjoy it. I don't care what it costs... just like my electric trains.
