I use my RV as much as possible to get the most value out of it. With that in mind, there are times I use my RV vs. staying in a hotel.
However for me that is not what camping is all about.
I go to lots of small towns,state parks and remote areas that I simply would never visit if I did not have an RV.
Pipestem state Park is a fantastic place in WV. We went there for Spring Break one year and had a great time. I would have never gone there without an RV.
Sherando Lake also comes to mind as an RV only destination.
The RV allows me to smell the roses and take the roads less travelled.
Escaping the rat race is what it's all about.
Traveling/vacationing using the traditional methods may sometimes be financially beneficial.
However the traditional ways will keep you firmly in the rat race the entire time...LOL
