Even with the stinky slinky, the tank rinser ALWAYS gets significant amounts of solids out after the normal dump (pun intended). You would be surprised how much I can get by rinsing after a stinky slinky dump at a full hookup site.
So, it is not just the macerator that leaves "stuff" behind.
I installed a Tornado on our hybrid's black tank but it's all plastic and broke instantly, replaced it, and that broke as well so I reverted back to using a tank wand. Our next trailer had a factory installed black tank rinser which worked well but still wasn't as effective as a toilet wand. I now continue to finish my tank servicing with a toilet wand, the bonus being it also cleans the toilet throat which no other method of tank back flushing can achieve. Regardless, what is broken loose is instantly macerated and disposed of by my FloJet and the end result is black tank water that looks like this. :B
