It may just be me, but I have never seen a 1.5" hose. I use a 3/4" hose with my macerator.

Thanks, I went back and changed it to 1 inch hose. I think that's the diameter of hose that comes with these things.
I suspect you developed this pro / con list from your own view as a MH owner but as I review the waste macerator section once again from the perspective of a TT owner I find I don't agree with any of it at all. Perhaps you as a MH owner consider it common to have a factory installed waste macerator but as a TT owner I don't. For TT owners the portable FloJet Waste Macerator kit is arguably the most common, most popular portable kit on the market but it doesn't come with any hose, that's up to the owner to buy separately according to his / her needs ... and it's a "hose" not a "tube". The FloJet is hardly slow, doesn't clog if the tank content is only what it's supposed to be, and it certainly doesn't need regular maintenance with normal use. It runs on 12 vdc that can be readily supplied by the trailer or TV and contrary to your suggestion that a waste macerator "pumps uphill easily" FloJet does make recommendations as to maximum hose length, diameter, and limits how much of an upgrade one should expect the macerator to pump without overheating. I'm sure we all appreciate your efforts but IMO instead of "writing up everything you know" you've written up everything you only presume to know insofar as it regards waste macerators. Obviously, I'm personally sold on the waste macerator concept so I'd only ask that if you're going to create a pro / con list others may use for making their decision as to which method would best serve their needs that list at least be accurate, otherwise it's useless. Data in = date out. ;)
