If you NEED WiFi then you should supply it yourself. I have a Verizon Mifi hot spot supplied from work with unlimited data. We are specifically allowed to use it for personal use, since it is unlimited data. If we are going somewhere for a longer trip and feel the NEED to have WiFi, then I bring it. Our 2.5 week trip to Florida, probably going to bring the hot spot. We like to research food and attraction activities, stream video over Netflix, check email, etc on longer trips. Since I NEED it, I supply it myself.
On the other hand, on shorter trips where I don't plan on going out for dinner, we don't plan on leaving the campground for activities, etc then I don't bring it and I enjoy a weekend without technology.
