Thieves hit our campsite in the middle of the night at Mission Tejas State Parke in East Texas this weekend. They stole a Yeti cooler and 2 campchairs and some beer in the middle of the night. Guess we are going to have to buy some bike locks and lock everything up at night from now on. Anyone have this happen to them? Share your stories. Never had this happen to us camping.

We have never had a campsite theft in 50 years of camping .We mainly camp in Oregon and often are gone during the day .On the lake , taking a hike , occasional bike ride .Actually , I am more surprised we have not been thieved .But then I covet your Yeti cooler .I use one of the metal clad coleman coolers as a raccoon proof container .

Never happened to us but it's no surprise, people are people, sorry to hear about it.....did you report it to the park Ranger?

Really sorry to hear that. From what I heard Yeti Coolers are not cheap.Been fortunate, to not have anything walk away, traveling with high end bikes, I do keep a cable & lock, and routinely use when storying them outside (to deter the quick grab).Markiemark:C
