Things I really like.

After 50 years I had an accumulation of stuff that moved from one camping style to another. Some of it is much loved but most is past its prime. In anticipation of our three month trip to Alaska I treated myself to some new stuff. After three weeks on the road, this is what I really like: Our new Sealy memory foam mattres, the Magna Nestable stainless steel cookware, the Camping World hinges that lift the bed with one finger, my re-do of the TT, and the flat clothes hangers for the closets. I am also enjoying some nice storage containers from The Container Store, an organizer attacked to the wall in the kitchen, and a magazine rack. It is just amazing what a difference these few things make. lizzie

  • Thanks Lizzie, those are good suggestions!

One thing we added to the small rig is an extend-a-shower. Have you seen one? I LOVE it.

Here's a picture of it extended:

When not in use, it folds into the shower area.
  • The hangers are called Huggable Hangers and I ordered them from the Container Store. They come in several colors, have a non-slip finish, are 1/4 inch wide and are very light and strong. The Value Pack costs $19.95 and includes 14 shirt hangers, 10 suit hangers, 6 finger clips (for holding skirts, ec.) and "cascade hooks" (for attaching one hanger to another). You can also order them individually. As you can tell, I am sold on them. lizzie
  • Hi Lizzie,

Could you post a link to the hangers you mentioned?

We just bought one of those rv shower soap dispensers and I am almost mad at myself that we have been Rv'ing this long without it.

    Thanks for sharing!
  • Amazing stuff lizzie!

Never thought of the flat hangers...the DW could certainly benefit there.

Also I'm really curious about one of them Sealy foam mattresses too...
We have the Temperpedic in the house, and thot about that brand fer the trailer.
