Glad to hear you weren't under attack LOL. That's going to be a classic story!
I never thought about instant tea powder in high altitude, but I knew about the potato chip bags.
My DH and DS didn't heed my advice and both got an unpleasant surprise after we crossed the mountains outside Denver.... potato chip bags, instant tea powder, and porta potties all suffer from altitude sickness :)
Like your Coca Cola surprise ours was also "contained", unfortunately it was contained in our wetbath. DH tried to get me to come in and help him clean it up. I said, "No Siree, you didn't listen to my advice and now YOU can deal with the mess. But I will direct you to all the necessary cleaning supplies" (since I was the one to pack them in the camper).
And that's how I lost 3 of my nice bath towels..... grrrr.
DS, age 6 was smarter than his dad. He immediately started wailing and apologizing for not listening to his mommy (and for not heeding the 2 notes I posted about "burping" the toilet in high altitudes) in the first place and then begged me to come inside and help him deal with the mess LOL.
Glad our mess wasn't caused by "heating" the contents of our container..... ewwww.
