"Driver Support" pop up??

A popup keeps appearing saying drivers are not up to date. The popup is "Driver Support with optimization". States to click for updates. Doesn't appear to be Windows 10. I attempted to cancel permanently but so far unable to.
  • I wouldn't follow through with that ad. It's just some outfit that wants to scan your computer for outdated drivers and probably install some nasty stuff in the meantime. If your computer's running fine, I would just ignore it. Are you running a pop-up blocker?
  • Have you installed any new hardware or software between the last day everything was fine and the appearance of this popup? If not, then use System Restore to restore the Windows registry to an earlier date. You will not lose any of your own files, photos, etc.

This tutorial will explain how to use System Restore. Pick a date that you know everything was fine.

  • Go into your control panel setting, under uninstall programs and you'll find it in there. Just delete it. It's a program that's wanting your money to check and install drivers you may or may not need. I've got it to fix some problems I was having a few months ago. And it's still trying to update 2 drivers which my systems doesn't need. Just delete it.
  • Do you have a Brother printer? They have a similar pop up that is nearly impossible to kill and it will show up even when drivers are up to date.
  • Uninstalled and so far it has not shown up again. Googled it and some bad things said about them but had a response from the company. Interesting but not going to bite!
