considering going to 4-flat towing. looking for a toad that requires very little in hooking up. Don't want to have to disconnect wires, fuses, put in a lube pump or all that. Thinking of something like a 4wd jeep. Wondering what people have found to be easy. Also will need a aux braking system for toad. Wondering if Roadmaster's Invisa brake is good. Again, don't want to have to mess around setting it up everytime we tow.
THANKS
NSA READYBRUTE/ELITE and a DEMCO base plate for the Jeep is the toughest, simplest and best bang for the buck, IMO.
Late model JK Wranglers don't have a steering lock to contend with and are excellent candidates for a COOLTECH wiring harness.
I have less than $1500 in everything, brand new and includes some options, like the READYSTOP for breakaway protection, as well.
Installed it all myself and not all that hard to do.
For travel, attach the bars and lock them in, snap on the brake and safety cables, plug in the umbicilal cord, transfer case in N, transmission in park or top gear, if standard and you're good to go.
