I'll finish this with a good generator story. Happened on the water some years ago at a popular anchorage in Bermuda. A typical day in the area. Lots of boats. Mostly familys. No sound systems blasting. No generators running. Just the sound of children playing & adults having a good time on the water.
In comes a houseboat. Drops anchor in the middle of everyone. Fires up a contractor generator on his back deck & disappears inside to enjoy the air conditioning. Well, after at least an hour of this thing roaring away & stern looks being cast his way the thing sputters to a halt. Idiot comes out to see what is wrong with his genny & everyone around the anchorage breaks out in applause. Idiot promptly starts up engine, pulls anchor & leaves to the sound of more applauding.
