It has been a while since anyone posted on this topic, but here is my two cents worth:
The best part about George is (or was) his wandering and inventive spirit. For those of us who face a very uncertain retirement and who don't have a big fat pension or a couple million dollars in our 401K, George represented the ideal - someone who bought a $10,000 RV and spent a decade driving it around the country while "living off the land" so to speak. As I write this I don't know if George is dead or alive, but in any event I wish him peace and I thank him for the many years of wonder as I have followed his travels.
