I have to blind side to get onto my parking pad at my home. I did paint on it a yellow line where I want my curbside wheels to end up, that's helpful, gives the DW and myself a common aim point. She spots for me, mostly to keep me from backing into or over anything.
I have pretty much given up on the "swoop" I just can't seem to be consistent about it. What I have found helps is not to start backing too close to the pad, get further away from it than maybe really needed. That way I'm not cranking it so tight.
If I have learned anything about backing it is this: When its time to stop and take another cut at it :)
Bank of Dad, it'll get easier.
