I have been keeping my RV tires covered anytime it is being stored. I think it reduces the UV but more because it reduces the tire heat. I found out the hard way when removing the tires on my boat trailer to service the bearings. The tire facing the sun was so hot it burnt the skin on my forearm. I used my IR temp gun and got a reading of 140 F. After I started using the white covers the tires never got hotter than about 10 f above air temp.
