If you have Passenger tires instead of Light Truck Tires, you will want them as firm as possible while towing. Before switching to LTs, I would inflate to 44 (max sidewall) when towing, then deflate to 39 (recommended door pressure) when I was done towing for a while or for the year. Now with the LTs, I will probably still do the same procedure, just to make the ride smoother.
