Then you have the ultimate ability to change pressure based on load and preference.
To the above poster, of course you needed to lower them to 30ish psi on a lighter vehicle. No different than your c rated tires. It stands to reason that with a stiffer sidewall, the heavier tires carry a "little" weight in the sidewalls so expect to run a few psi less than C tires for the same ride.
Remember, the tires do not support the load, the air does. Tires are a containment vessel for the air that also provide traction.
If you have a flat on a 1/2 ton with an E load tire, the truck will squish the tire just as flat as a C tire.
Also remember, up to E load and some of the new "fake" light duty F load rated tires, they are designed to run at lower pressures unlike med duty tires (19.5s) which should maintain a higher minimum pressure to not destroy the carcass and prevent losing the bead seat.
