Trailers that small most likely had 205/75-14" or maybe a 15".
Barney make good sense with a P tire on a small 3500 lb trailer. I use P tires on all of my single axle trailers and even smaller tandem axle trailers.
The P tires aren't restricted to 62-65 mph. Some P tires are rated at 44-51 psi for less parasitic drag and eliminates tire bead unseating issues on multi axle trailers.
