Here we go again. as I posted here before I was having my dealer repack my wheels when they discovered a bad tire. Carlyle tires he told me they were the worst tire I could have on a trailer. Today ...

I have had 2 sets (in ten years) of Carlyle tires on my trailer and the only problem I had was a blown rubber valve stem. Put in metal stems.
I balance my tires because they seem to run and wear better.
I had GY Marathons (IMO the equivalent of Carlisle) on a 20' TT - that after 9 years were still going strong - and looked great.
But - can't say the same for GY Marathon "Balloons" on my 5h wheel.
Point is - The Carlisle tires probably will do just fine on boat trailers, tent trailers, etc. also.
No thanks on any kind of heavier trailer!
Go to "Epinions" and see what users have to say - as well as search features on forums.

Balance: if it "goes round" - balance it..;)
Unfortunately, it's usually not something (results) you can't see or feel.:@
Fortunately, balancing won't break the bank or bust your wallet..:C
BTW - tire shops like to sell tires they carry.
Tire shop managers like to tell you what they think will sell their tire lines.
Self-styled experts - kinda like "westend", "Fast Eagle" ...and RV sales folks..:B..:R
Bottom line - do your own "due diligence" -and/or- whatever rings your chimes.
