TireTraker TPMS any good ??

I'm not familiar with that brand so I can't say good or bad about it. TST and Pressure Pro are two brands with a big following though and both have good customer support which can be very important with tpms systems.

I've been pretty happy with mine. I bought it based on the recommendation of the transport driver who delivered our 5th wheel. I figured if he used the product it was good enough for me.

I Have had that brand for a couple of years and it works well. I still have the original batteries so they must be well designed. As I have said many times, any brand would be better than none. Please don't take the advise given earlier to not use any. Yes he may check his tires regularly, but it only takes one time to pick up a piece of debris and the cost of a TPMS is payed for. JMO

What do people do with the sensors when they store their TT? (at a storage facility) I assume you wouldn't leave them on when you take it storage. And, if you do take them off, I'm sure you have to go through the setup again when they are re-installed?

Or am I completely off base here?

Enroute puncture ?
Most of the mishaps reported here are from tread separation or carcass failure .
By upgrading my load capacity per tire I have eliminated any need for tpms .
Better tires equals no failures of any kind .

That's one school of thought that I don't subscribe to. One thing to consider is with a puncture or slow leak, the tire will get so hot as it gets lower in air pressure that the tire literally "melts", the tread separates, and/or the sidewall blows out. You'll never know if it was just a slow leak or a bad tire. As to better tires equaling "no tire failures of any kind", that's nonsense.

I have the Tire Traker and have been pleased with it. I leave my sensors installed in storage and for 3 years, no problem.

good to hear the Tire Traker is worth getting. its the one I have been looking at. I will order one before the next trip.

That's the one I have, and have yet to complete a trip with all sensors reporting correctly. I have now bought 10 new batteries and will try starting over with the thing. Wish I had spent the bucks on another system!

My experience is that I have had no tire failures of any kind when I have upgraded my tires .
I had an inside dual tire blow on my Beaver motorhome .
I had bought it used and the seller had installed new tires on the outside rears and the fronts only.
A tpms would not have detected the failure by more than a millisecond .
By going up a size and weight rating I have eliminated any tire failures .
I did have an aluminum wheel fail .
It developed a hairline crack and the wheel lost air .
But it happened slowly enough to be plainly visible .
I would rather be attentive than lull myself into thinking my pricey TPMS would replace my diligence .
