For all those questioning, here are the numbers (Titan XD 4x4 Kingcab 6'6" bed w/gas engine). It has the OEM gooseneck puck system also.
* Max Payload: 2,560 lbs.
* Max towing: 11,040 lbs.
* Wheelbase: 139.8"
* Tires: LT 265/60 R20 -E rated
As someone who has towed many TT's & one 5th wheel over the past 20 years, I know to leave a comfortable weight margin between the max numbers and my fully loaded truck & 5ver. Just my wife & I now. No kids. I agree, JIMNLIN, most people commenting here have no idea what kind of towing platform my XD is. And if I am uncomfortable once I start towing the new Crusader, the necessary changes will be made.
Now I know most everyone is trying to be helpful, That is the reason I post occasionally on this forum. I appreciate all of your feedback. My original question asked for comments about shortbed towing with the three hitches I am considering. Can we address that issue without questioning my wisdom? Thank you.
