Used to be if I saw someone driving slow and wobbly, it was an old person. Now, it's usually a young person texting or on cell phone. And so many of them are doing recreational drugs or drinking. I pass one, see them texting, then pretty soon they roar around me exceeding the speed limit; finished texting for the moment.
So, don't think being old necessarily makes you more dangerous than average. Only you know what you can do. I'm 75 and still pull a fifth wheel. I traded my 36' in for a 32' a few years ago. I have huge disc brakes on the truck and trailer, so can stop when a young idiot whips in front of me and jams on the brakes to exit. Also, I now limit my days to 300 to 450 miles. Get too tired if I go longer days.
