2Gypsies, the same thing happened to us with our Wrangler. The fortunate thing was my hubby has a remarkable sixth sense when towing plus we had to take a corner and were able to see what was happening. It was only a few miles but the tire was destroyed. We were in Canada and it cost us a fortune to replace it but such is life.
