Do you have a ground wire coming from the MH? And if you do, does the mating ground wire on the toad hooked to a good ground on the toad frame? Without a good ground, the current is looking for a ground to complete the circuit so it goes back through the tail light, or the brake light. So look for a good ground or run a temp ground between the MH and Toad and see what happens. You can't depend on the tow bar to the hitch to make a good ground. Good luck
