Without a good ground, the current is looking for a ground to complete the circuit so it goes back through the tail light, or the brake light. I'm getting the 1/4 volt 'leakage' before anything else is connected. I had to install the Hopkins connector adaptor (in order to use the separate brake circuit - I don't have the part number handy). So I cut the wires before they got to the 7 pole plug in order to install the Hoppy. I tested the at the cut so it was the wires coming from inside the moho somewhere. I grounded one volt meter terminal and tested across the brown (12 volts) and green/yellow (1/4 volt).
There is a connector that I can get to that I'll probably take apart to see if the problem is before or after that.
I guess my question is 'is that 1/4 volt likely my problem', or could there be something else?
