Not qualified to get into a solution to your problem and don't really want to give you advice that you didn't ask for but....
many find that its just a lot easier to just wire a separate bulb in each taillight and wire your MH to that. You don't have to worry about feedback and a lot of problems that can be present when you try to use the stock tail lights.
