We have towed a Jeep Rubicon, easy hook and un hook, never had a problem towing.

We like the prius because of the mpg. Your gonna need a dolly though.

A wrangler of course for the simplicity of towing behind anything. Works as a DD and for any kind of terrain as well. We just returned from a 7K + US tour again and used the Jeep for cruising Hollywood Blvd and off road in the deserts as well.

What's best for me might not be best for you?? We had a '09 HHR and if they were still making them, we would have bought another, but they're not, so we got a 2013 Equinox and so far it looks like it's going to be as good as the HHR if not a little better.. Mike Mathews..

On last weeks trip from Austin, TX to Scarborough, ME we saw many Honda CRV's. They forfill our needs for a TOAD.

The best vehicle is one you already own and is paid for. I drag around a dented, chipped, faded, 200,000 mile 1998 Honda Accord. A dolly or transmission pump could be more cost effective then going out and buying something that is towable without modification.

Suburban if we want to transport 7 or 8 folks when we get to where we are going or a 2004 Mustang Convertible if it is just me and the Bride that need transporting. We have towed Contours, Escorts and Probes.

Personally I'm fond of 4-wheel drive Jeeps with manual transfer cases (NOT full time 4wd with electroic stuff).

That said. I tow a 2001 Dodge Neon with modifications to make it towable.

The fact is this: Find a car you like.. Go to REMCOTOWING.com and see if it's towable.. If it is, Great, if it's not or it will take too much work to make it towable, Find another make and model you like.

Oh, Lube pump is roughly 950 dollars and six hours to install if anyone needs to know. It does, however, include the tow lights.
