Is it changeable without being emptied first? Do you recall how much the replacement was? I have been advised to use some good lubricant and try to get it working better but yes it's very very tight to push in and more specifically to pull out, she has no vehicle to actually move this thing so we're trying our best to figure it out in her current location:/ so no to the flush king with a full clog, thanks ??
Here's a video about how the flush king really is not effective at flushing the tank if there is a bend in your drain plumbing. But you could use it to verify the valve is opening. I would leave both the flush king as well as the drain valve closed. Then hook up the flush king and turn on the water so it tries to back flush the tank, but cannot because the valve is closed. Then briefly pull the valve. If it opens you will know it as the sound will change.
LinkAs far as venting, If you are concerned that the vent is plugged just pull the dump valve and then flush the toilet. Make sure you turn off the fresh water intake so you don't fill the toilet any more than it already is. The open toilet valve will vent the tank.
From your description of a really slow bowl drain though it sounds like there is a plug under the toilet. It seems that some RV's have a 45 degree bend in the down pipe under the toilet. That bend can catch debris and eventually plug up. This can leave you with a bowl full of water and an empty black tank.
