Is it really necessary to use camping word toilet paper or can any toilet paper that says septic safe be used.
Any septic safe will do just fine. - Sandia_ManExplorer IIWe just use the stuff from Samsclub but we have a direct drop from our toilet into the black tank. Not all RVs are plumbed the same way with some having a bend or two before reaching the black tank, never had an RV with this type of toilet plumbing where it might be wise to use RV specific TP.

RV specific is the same as septic safe...no need to buy 4 rolls for 6 bucks - TrackrigExplorer IINo, Costco or Sam's toilet paper works just fine in either your RV or a septic system.
Bill - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIIt HAS to be 'RV TP'.........other TP doesn't like to go camping only the RV kind does.
NO it does not have to be that expensive junk TP
We use whatever we buy..........never had a problem with ANY TP being used.
I use wads and it all goes down and out just fine. - gboppExplorer

x2. All we use is 'septic safe'. Never had a problem. - TravelonExplorerIf you bought the RV from CW, you have to use their TP (it's in the fine print).
- rockylarsonExplorerScotts Single Ply is labeled septic safe and works for us. BTW that includes both a 3 inch sewer hose and as often as not, a macerator with 100ft of 3/4 inch hose.
- old_guyExplorerone thing most forget is the black tank is a holding tank not a septic tank. but in saying that, any paper that is septic safe is OK to use. just use lots of water to flush and the tank will empty just fine. it has been a long time since this question has been asked. in the old days it seemed like it was asked at least twice a week.
- Community AlumniWe use Scott 1000's and have done for many years; sometimes I'll pick up a different brand if it's a good sale.
Never waste your money on RV toilet paper!
