Is it really necessary to use RV toilet paper or can I just use some good old Scotts septic safe stuff. I hate paying three times as much for crappy toilet paper and it is a hassle when you run out.
Why does anyone have to ask? It's so easy to test. Take an RV paper and a regular roll from your house, put them in jars of water and shake them up. The results are quite distinctive. If you don't care above t clogging up your black tank sensor or valves, feel free to use those house brands.
OK, I will just grab a couple rolls from the house next time instead of making a special trip to throw my money at what looks and feels like dollar store toilet paper.
Charmen, Costco, AngelSoft, etc. all disintegrate just as easily as RV stuff. Northern is the worst - it does not disintegrate easily and will clog up regular house pipes.
