Too much money for overnight stay!

With all the money you have I'd just pay for two nights

Did you offer to pay for the early checkin? Whether you use the amenities or not, you are tying up a site for 2 days. Or do they force another RV to leave early to accommodate you?

Why not simply park the RV at the outskirts of the reception parking lot and go to the RV park afterwards?

i would have paid for (2) nights, aka the night before
arrive anytime that morning, is arriving late, site is paid for
and i would use the full hookups, and have the A/C on and come back to a cool RV after the reception

No parking allowed at the venue? WalMart?

Quite likely they are full and people are not required to leave until after your desired check in time. Plus, we all know that saying you are going to arrive at 11 doesn't always mean exactly 11. We have had too much experience with people wanting early arrivals, stating a time frame we could live with (between the check in and check out window) only to arrive hours earlier. Logistically, that doesn't work and creates ill will for both us and the guests when their site is not available. The only option for us has become strict adherence to check in and check out times. It isn't about the use of the facilities or the utilities, it is about having space available.

Simple question, do you get this wound up about all the other businesses that will not accommodate changing their hours to suit your needs? Restaurants open and close at designated times. Airplanes fly on a schedule. Hotels enforce check in and check out times with about as much flexibility as the average RV park. Arrive a few minutes early, generally not a problem, arrive 3 hours early, they tell you the room isn't ready.

I'm not asking them to hold a space for me. Just asking for flexibility: IF the space is available, let me move in earlier. Or otherwise, offer to let me park my trailer in the overflow lot and move it into the space later.

Like almost any hotel would do. We have frequently called a hotel and asked about early checkin and never got such inflexibility. They always offered to let us know if the room is available sooner and often it is. Or have offered to hold our luggage for us if not. Some flexibility.

And in these cases, I am quite sure there were plenty of spaces free because I checked the reservation system. You would think they would be more accommodating instead of turning away a customer and free money.

Chances are they’ve been burned a few time in the past..
If they treat everyone the same you have nothing to complain about.

So what would a HOTEL Room cost in that area?
Bet it is more then $50/night
SO reserve 2 nights

Most RV parks do not have huge parking lots for "overflow". Pretty much every square foot of our parks are either sites, recreational areas, or inaccessible for RVs. Following your free money argument, shouldn't they just take any amount you offer and allow you to stay as long as you want since it is "free money"? Then maybe your place of employment will follow suit and require you to come in early and leave late because, after all, your current pay is "free money"
