You're always going to lose here as well as hear all kinds of excuses for the rv industry. Most rvers will defend their lifestyle and all that goes along with it; rv prices, campground prices, rv quality, etc.
Or they will give the stock answer, "if you can't afford it, you shouldn't be rving".
Hotels (I travel for work throughout the Americas) are very understanding and willing to work with their customers and that includes $50 to $250. Early or late check out, use of business centers including free printing, local and national phone calls even letting you park your rig in their lot if you are renting a room. Almost anything to satisfy a customer.
