While I too have known for many years that all gas isn't the same and that there are different qualities of gas, I think too much is made about the differences. In other words, the differences are negligible. Reading a white paper is great, but the proof is in the pudding. I have experimented with using Top Tier gas for period of time and notice no discernible difference other than the fact that my wallet is lighter. I also notice very little difference in performance and mileage when using E-10, which we have had to use for more than 15 years. I typically get EPA rating or better on my vehicles. Driving habits and vehicle maintenance have far more to do with mileage than the quality of gas. BTW, I also get 180k to 200k out of my vehicles and they still look and run great when I sell them.
As far as storage, well I don't use Top Tier gas for my lawn and snow removal equipment and I've never had a problem.
