You all can argue all you wish. When towing we get about 2 mpg better mileage with Shell. Got over 200,000 miles on our SUV, half that towing at its tow limit, and we always kept track of gas mileage. Shell works for me, and no I do not work for them.
No major engine work done. It does burn about half a quart of oil every 10,000 miles now. I'm happy.
So you claim that your getting 20 to 25% better mileage towing when using Shell gasoline? 20 to 25%???????? :E
You're a marketers dream come true!
If I ran Shell marketing I would have you in front of a TV camera in a heartbeat!!
I can see it now on the pump:
SHELL GASOLINE, GUARANTEED TO GIVE YOU 20% BETTER FUEL MILEAGE THAN OTHER BRANDS WHILE TOWING!!!
EPA needs to jump on this also. They need to force Shell to say what they are putting in their gasoline to make engines get such good mileage.
20 to 25% savings of fuel in the US would mean we would be swimming in gasoline and the price would drop to around a buck a gallon again!!
