I have to agree. We have towed in all ways possible and prefer a small trailer and car. Everyone has different needs and its important to hear all pros and cons. I think one con of the trailer that should be pointed out (or at least for us) is it is about an 8 to 10 minute process for the hookup vice 5 minute. The advantages are obvious but it does take a little longer. Storage has not been a problem or us either.
You also have to consider the trailer has to be stored when you're not on the road. You either need a big enough place in your yard/driveway or pay someone to store it. We have an equipment trailer that gets used all summer for moving around tractors, loaders, and just about anything that will fit on it. It sits in the drive along side the garage. Sometimes it's a pain in the but to navigate around, but it gets used so often I would never get rid of it.
During the winter months it gets moved to a specially built pad behind the garage. Since it doesn't get used during that time and it snows a lot around here it would be a nightmare to leave it sitting in the drive. Just keep in mind a trailer takes up a lot of space. If you have the space it's not a bad option. If you don't have the space you might want to consider something different.
