I have used a trailer for the last 9 years. If I plan ahead to stay at parks with long enough sites it's not a problem. In that time I was asked to disconnect the trailer once for storage in a separate lot even though the site was long enough. I started 4 down towing two years ago when I got my first towable car. The 4-down is less stuff to deal with but I never feel comfortable knowing all the running gear is spinning while towing. I also had tire wear issues. I feel more comfortable towing the trailer and being able to back up whenever I want. Yes, you can disconnect the towbar on a 4-down setup but if you're in an emergency situation that can be a problem.
Like others have said, it's really what works best for you.
