This Roadmaster Application Chart shows the three bracket types, EZ2, EZ4, and EZ5.
They all will fit, by that I mean install, your CR-V.
Most of the way down on this page you'll see explanation of EZ2, EZ4 and EZ5. The EZ5 looks like their latest/greatest. As long as you're using a motorhome-mounted tow bar, and don't want to use some of the items listed as incompatible, that's the one I'd want. Would be simply wonderful to not have to use the cross bar so typical of Roadmaster. Roadmaster is rugged gear. Good stuff, but their design was behind BlueOx for user friendliness. EZ5 looks like it closes that gap.
We have the old XL brackets, those little square receiver hitch-looking ones that attach with pins, clips, etc. and require the cross bar. Probably strong enough to plow snow with, but tedious to remove. So most Roadmaster bracket owners disconnect the towbar and leave all the rest on the toad. Then the toad looks like it has a snowplow frame on it. EZ5 does away with all that.
