2014 Honda CRV all wheel drive

I have a 2013, you are getting a fantastic tow car.
My only advise I can give is you will absolutely run your battery dead if towing more than a few hours. The newer CRV's have much more parasitic battery drain loads on them than prior models. Its the radio fuse you must pull, which does a lot more than disconnect the radio.
A battery charge line or a fuse disconnect switch is a must.
I went the disconnect switch route simply because I have a 5 pin connector on the back of my coach with no 12V hot lead.
The disconnect switch works perfect and I built it myself for less than 12.00 bucks link above.

Just remember that driving over 65 will fry the transmission

I added an additional lead in my wiring harness when I built it up and presently its just coiled up because I dont need it for my Liberty. I shall uncoil it and put it to use for the CRV though. Thanks for reminding me

Sully, you're definitely right on that point. While the tow instructions do say that 65 IS the limit, I exceeded it several times, and at times, for several miles at a time due to conditions and circumstances at the time. It wasn't a habit, it just happened on an infrequent basis.

Ours was an '11 CRV AWD EXL W/Nav and that trans worked flawlessly, day in and day out, before and after the "Over 65 incidents". I don't recommend doing it, again, it just happened.

Just ordered all the items needed to hook up my 2014 CRV. I went with Demco.
Motorhome stored towbar
Baseplates for CRV
Coiled connector cable, 7 terminal male to 6 terminal male
Wiring harness that t's into the rear light connectors (not necessary
to cut wires or drill holes to install separate bulbs)
Towbar cover to keep road dirt off when stored
Baseplate covers to hide and protect

I will install the charge line through the connector cable directly to the battery with a fuse.
Now to research a braking system.

I have just 0ver 5000,00 miles now on my odometer and have towed mine for another 4300.00 miles.
It has performed flawlessly. I left mine in the ECO mode when I drove it off the lot.
For the 5000 plus miles I have averaged a little over 25.2 miles per gallon with a lot of city driving, as I live in the Los angeles area.
I set the trip B indicater when I left the dealership. However I get tankfuls when doing a trip or some freeway commutes close to 30.
At times the average mpg indicater goes into the mid 30's.
Kab, You have a great set-up, wish I would have had a 7 pin connector in stead of my 6 pin, however my disconnect switch has worked just fine also.
I got the Mountain air metallic color, with beige interior. EX.
Its amazing at the Bluetooth clarity when receiving or making a phone call. Still amazes me to just say a persons name and it calls that number.

Is the Mountain Air color the Teal color. If so that's the one I have. I only have 1000 miles on it but it consistently gives 25 mpg in mixed city/highway driving. I like the Bluetooth and voice control a lot also. I play my I Phone music through the Bluetooth. A lot cheaper than satellite radio.

Check out the Airforce One system if you have air brakes. Easy to hook up.

I pull a 2008 crv, also have the charger wire to keep battery strong,however, I would suggest a brake system for your toad.
Brakes are required in some places, but I believe they are necessary.
I have the invisibrake system, works great.
