My installer simply added LED lights in each of my taillights, so I have a redundant system. No cutting into toad wiring harness. Umbilical cord from the coach runs stop/tail/turn, etc. Since I tow a Suby, brake lights activate even with ignition off, so still get 3rd brake light and "regular" brake lights, in addition to LEDs when pedal is depressed (happen to use Ready Brake Elite).
