I only mentioned it, because I think its possible that the poster that thought purchasing more expensive gasoline helped him, may well have been that his improved mileage was NOT because it was one particular brand or another, or any particular octane rating, but because of less Ethanol content.
If you can get fuel without any Ethanol in it...Do so, you will see better mileage that way (although I don't know if it may be a case where it costs you so much more for that fuel, you may not save $$ in the long run).
