Being you are from Canada I might add that BC is much stricter at enforcing GVWR on NON commercial trucks, here in Alberta the scales have commercial trucks 4500kg 9800lb (that's a SRW one ton) pull in loaded or not and if you don't they chase you down. At the moment GVWR is not enforced for NON commercial so while some people say "it's not important" it is if in BC and it may be coming to more provinces. Just saying..
