If you are buying new and want a manual trans then you must be looking at a Ram, the engine is de-rated with the manual trans G56 because the clutch is marginal at best, there is no hi idle available, also the GVWR of the 2013/14 SRW is greatly increased from the 2011/12's, you could easily get a SRW 3500 crewcab and tow just about anything, GVWR is up from 10,100lbs to I think 11,400/11,700 lbs. We bought 2011 auto and manual trucks the manual was recently traded for a 2013 Aisin, so far the trans is proving great. If you want a manual trans very seriously look at that choice, it's an expensive mistake.
Ram needs to step up for those that like a manual, and make the standard clutch a dual disk organic. The dual disk organic will hold the HP/Torque and load. They do drive a little differently than a single disk, but they do hold the load.
