Towing a 7x12 trailer hauling Goldwing

I want to tow a 7x12 enclosed trailer and carry our Goldwing and use some of the extra room for storage when camping.
1. Would I be better off with a single axle or opt for the tandem and brake package?
2. My Minnie Winnie has a six pin plug but I am understanding that most of the trailers come with a seven pin connection is this a problem?
3. The Minnie is a 28 footer, will the trailer pose an issue at campgrounds?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

  • When we were debating about a bike trailer a friend told us a story about a single axle trailer hauling a Harley. A guy was towing bike trailer, had blow out on trailer, unbeknownst to driver and scattered trailer and Harley all over the highway. We figure if we have blow out on one tire we still have 3 to depend on and yes we also have brakes on our trailer. Our length of TC and truck is about 23' and trailer is 14'. Piece of mind is a good thing.
