Towing a Buick LaSabre

We have a 2001 Buick LaSabre that we will be towing behind our Class A MH. We plan on buying a tow dolly and a light bar, is there a better alternative for wiring ie using the vehicles lights instead of monkeying with a light bar? Also, we heard about towing w/4 wheels on the ground using a Remco Pump? Is this a better cost effective way to tow instead of using a tow dolly? This is our first shot at it and the only car we have to tow. Please, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • what does your owner's manual say under towing behind a motorhome or recreational towing?
    bumpy
  • Personally I'd keep the front wheels off the ground and use a dolly, especially being a fwd car. I've only rented dollys for moves or towing home a dead vehicle, but do not find them cumbersome at all.
Drive up, put 2 straps over the tires and go!
Correct, they don't back up for crap, but niether will your car on a tow bar.
  • Unless you plan to stay a considerable time at each stop a tow dolly can become a real headache. One of the issues is where to park it at a RV park unless a long pull-thru site.
